Hello.
Can you guys explain what a DAC is and how employers use it "blacklist" drivers? Thanks.

DAC is a service offered by USIS (US Investigation Service). It works exactly like a credit reporting agency. Companies submit info about your work history, and potential employers can check your DAC record the same way that lenders can check your credit report when you apply for a loan.
DAC is supposed to follow the same rules as credit reporting agencies, regarding disputes and whatnot, but basically if your DAC record gets all crapped up you'll have one hell of a time getting a job at any company that subscribes to their service.

Have you noticed that OOIDA's Land Line has a "bad broker" credit reporting add in it that lists brokers that have cheated OO's out of money?
Hey, two can play this game.

Yeah, it is about as accurate as trying to predict the weather by waving your worm in the wind. We've been burned by a few brokers that had B+ ratings.
I didn't have all that much faith in OOIDA to beging with. After repeated letdowns, I am on the verge of considering them an enemy organization rather than an ally.

Well, with the apathy in trucking, many times people get what they deserve. Truckers don't stick together, and that is why trucking is in the shape it is in today.
And I really don't see it getting better in the near future.
Did you hear that C.R. England is going to a %100 lease opperation soon? Smart. One day we truckers will have to pay the company to drive a truck for them.
