Looking for a position I approached a company by email to see what they had available. The one thing that immediately jumped out at me is that the respondent kept coming back with one liners with no interpunction and sloppy grammer. He finally told me to call safety compliance to inquire. I promptly did and found myself talking to a woman from that department. I introduced myself, told her what I was inquiring about and if they had any single positions available. Her answer was: "no singles, no singles". The repeat had me a little taken aback and I said: "thank you" at which point she proceeds to slam the phone on me. In response I sent a nice and polite email to their administration: Dear Joe, Thank you for your response. I have contacted a few companies in your area and also just spoke with your safety compliance representative. Her abrupt ending to my inquiry leads me to believe that your company is not very customer service oriented and will not consider taking a position as a team driver for your company. With kind regards, Joe wrote: > please call office and speak to safety compliance --- There is a driver shortage all over Canada and if you want to attract drivers I do not think that's the way to do it.

Welcome to the dumb world of trucking......Be rude to any one that catches the company in a lie, and use the DAC report to get even with driver who expects a company to do what they say they will do.
Also, you must promote liars, punish honest recruiters and make sure that your safety head has never sat in anything named "truck". And we wonder why trucking it headed in the direction it is.

Revvin;
What a lousy introduction to a company!
I am curious as to where abouts you are situated. I might be able to steer you in the direction of a company that is quite progressive. 15% increase in rates this year, and more to come.
This company is getting ready for the upcoming changes in the HOS regs in Canada, and wants to have an adequate supply of drivers. Current plans are for an increase of 150 to 200 drivers in the next year.
Most of the work is "No touch" Super-B bulk in Western Canada.
Please send me a PM if you wish more information. I am not a recruiter, nor does the company offer a recruiting bonus.
