How do they assign trucks They have a list of available trucks and give you a number. If something is wrong with the one you get, or you don't like it for some reason (other than you just want a Volvo or a Pete), they usually will let you switch. The company wants you to be happy.I averaged 2,400-2,600 mi/wk when I was OTR (am on a dedicated now).It is a fairly intensive PTDI-approved course, and students I spoke with at orientation seemed to like it (I already had my CDL when I was hired). Most do, but some are fully automatic.other than the entire fleet being 100% auto-shift... they have: remote fifth-wheel releases in the cab, the trucks are governed at 68mph (72 for trainers), Smart Cruise (works with the Eaton Vorad to maintain safe following distances), Detroit 60s, Jakes, oil reservoirs...Not sure, but it's went up again recently. Unless you volunteer for Dollar Tree or Dollar General dedicated, you'll probably never even have to worry about it.They offer that option. It's your choice.Sorry, not sure. Been a long time since I had those.Yes.Yes.They have EZ-Pass and Pike Pass, as well as several state's toll cards. Anything you may ever have to pay out of pocket is reimbursed (with a receipt, of course). Oh, yes. They also have Pre-Pass, which lets you bypass certain scale houses.Yes.You're right in the middle of the action there.Yes, as long as it can be parked securely68/72Don't know rate specifics, but I have health, dental, and vision, as well as a lot of extra coverages, and mine comes to about $65/wk for a family of four. That's probably true anywhere. Depends on the individual. The recruiter I had when I applied to USA Truck in Akansas lied to me, so much so that I rode on a bus for four days, there and back, after finding out they weren't forthcoming. Whereas, my recruiter at USX was completely straight with me. Depends on the integrity of the person who picks up the phone.
