What is known about 'J B Hunt'? I got a call this morning from a guy calling himself "BIG DOG' a.k.a. Chuck, from J B Hunt giving me the rundown on the company, and telling me that they were desperate for Drivers from my state.
Are they a good company? or do they suck?
How do they treat thier drivers? Are their trainers any good? What should I expect if I were to hire on with this company?
Thanks!

truckerjr;
While I have never driven for this company, I can make some general statements regarding companies in general that may help to guide you.
First, It is a rare company that was ever any good after the driver left them. Ask the recruiter what percentage of former drivers return.
Second, If a company got as big as (Insert company name here), then they must be doing something right. Not every company is right for you though. You need to determine what you expect from a company and ask them if they can meet your expectations. Take a questionaire of your own when you go for the interview. Make notes, then ask the interviewer to sign the questionaire to confirm his/her answers.
Things you might want are expense money up front, time home, dedicated equipment, pay for downtime and the like. Most companies have a policy regarding this type of thing, so they can give you answers and back them up.
It all boils down to what they can do for you. If they can satisfy your needs, and you can satisfy theirs, you will have a match made that should work for some time to come.

JB Hunt doesn't have trainers. They have some "finishers" for people with "some" experience, but they do not hire "off the street". I worked there and the things they do well, they do very well, the things they do bad? They do just as bad as anyone else. I'd work for them again.
