Has anyone out there taken a refresher course . TMC wants me to take one even though I have my cdl.and i've been calling schools, they say I need to basically take the whole course over again. Accept I don't have to go to DMV for a road test.So basically they want me to pay for the whole course over again an.I just got my CDL IN NOVEMBER O2 and have been driving a school bus ever since. Can anyone please give me any advice or ideas . Do all companies ask for this if you haven't been over the road?

I guess things always happen for a reason... I was just talkin to a driver the other day about a refresher course. This driver drove roll-off for a waste company and wanted to drive otr but he needed to take the course too. The only company I know that offers this type of course is Schneider Nat. who he joined. But if you'll going for a flatbed company I cant help you there. Cr England has schooling.... ummm.... oh yea Stevens too. But all-in-all if you want flatbed you will most likely have to pay all over again. I could be wrong **be safe keep 'em rollin**

We offer a refresher course, it is pretty cheap. But sometimes what the refresher needs a trip or two OTR to really get it done. It is like us trying to teach mountain driving here in Weatherford Texas. we have one or two roads that even come close to qualifying, HWY 4 south out of Palo Pinto and 16 alittle further west.
But I guess you give the company what they need to have. Most schools should offer a refresher to their ex-students for free.
