Hi, thanks for the great site.
Star Transportation out of Nashville and Transport America out of Eagan, MN are my two favorites at this point for after I graduate.
If anyone has any information to share on those two companies, please be so kind as to reply. Thanks!

I just finished TA's orientation yesterday. I was impressed. They seem to have their stuff together. The instructors have all been with the company for for a number of years. I am just waiting now to hear from my trainer. So far, I think I have made a good decision.

Thank you, Good Sir. I just got my TA pre-hire, so if all goes well, we'll soon be colleagues. Best of luck and KTSSU!

Thank you, Good Sir. I just got my TA pre-hire, so if all goes well, we'll soon be colleagues. Best of luck and KTSSU! Finally heard from my trainer. Looks like we're meeting Sunday evening in Duluth MN. Since I'm sitting here in Evansville IN visiting my sister, I need to make tracks right after dinner. Glenn

Hey MrTruck,
These were my two choices also. Star's pretty good, they say it's a great place for newbies. TA is also excellent. Great options and rewards. Tough choice. Star; mainly east of ole' Miss. 99% no-touch TA ; paid by pc mcnally star; household movers guide
My uncle use to work for star great equipment. But all-in-all your decisition. You'll make the right choice *Good Luck*
**Be safe all** Keep em' rollin'

Glenn,
Good luck and keep us posted on how it goes.
Pete,
Thanks. It looks like TA, but Star is attractive (I live right in their wheelhouse (Middle Tenn.)). Best wishes.

Just got home Saturday after three weeks and 12,000 miles. I go down to Eagan Wednesday for the final test out. My trainer was good. Took the time to teach me some of the small stuff that makes the job a little easier. I'm confident that the test on Wednesday will not be a problem. Glenn Glenn, Good luck and keep us posted on how it goes. Pete, Thanks. It looks like TA, but Star is attractive (I live right in their wheelhouse (Middle Tenn.)). Best wishes.

I am scheduled to start training with Millis north of Atlanta on April 19. A couple local schools couldn't keep their acts together--which frustrated my TA plan--and I took a second look at Millis and its training program.
Good luck Glenn.

It's a great day to pull a trailer, let's hitch 2. --MrTruck

Latest update: I just returned from my second trip out solo with TA. For the most part I am happy with them. Both times they have gotten me home when they said they would. My only complaint is that both trip started out with multiple stop nursery loads. They did not schedule sufficient time for the stops, so I wound up work 2 to 3 12 to 14 hour days. I ended up running out of hours away from home and having to sit for 34 hours to reset. I think we can work that out, though.

Go with Transport America, i worked for this company for 5 weeks before an unforseen problem forced me to leave.
You'll have your own truck within 2 weeks after you been out with a trainer.
