Has MTC, a recognized CDL mill, changed the way they train because the carrier, Star Transportaion, I want start with uses them as their training facility. The recruiter I talked with at MTC is giving me conflicting information. He tells me that they will spend as much time as necessary to facilitate me being competant in getting a CDL. I don't want bad stories only please give me the good and the bad of this school. The recent, within the last year, info on this School.

This is the trouble with recruiters: They will say anything to get you to sign on the bottom line. Most of them make thier living on a commission rather than an hourly wage. You wont get much info out of a recruiter

Never mind, I just got off the phone with Star Transport. The personnel director said that even though they use a CDL Mill they do not let recent graduates drive on their own. Star transport has recent grads of MTC ride with an experienced driver for 6 months and that driver is responsible for teaching the remaining skills. Phew, For a minute there I though they would say, "lets see what you can do."

Oh, these companies do continue the training. Many of my ex-students are now company instructors.
