Has anyone attended a "CDL Mill" in California or just been really unhappy with their school? Any schools you would stay away from, espeacially in Southern California? Please reply and include your email address if possible. Thanks

You may have to do some reseach on the CDL mill issue, you can find out who is and who isn't, but I don't think there is a list here so to speak.
The main thing about a CDL mill is they are only going to teach you enough to pass a driving test at the easiest DPS or DMV they can find. I know because I worked for one of the biggest CDL mills there ever was, Franklin Career Service. They are out of business now because they were going to put every other school out of business or buy them out. Their only commitment to the student was that peice of plastic. When they passed their driving test, they spent the rest of their time on the backing yard, not to teach them to back. But to make room for more students coming in and overcrowded classroom.
The day they went under I Laughed!
If you are trying to find a school that is travelable from your home so you don't have to stay in a Motel, you may have to research the right questions to ask before you commit. I wish I could help you with the S. California schools. One thing you might try is finding out what state agency issues the license for the school and ask them what their opinion of the school is. In Texas it is the Texas Workforce Commission, I would have no idea what California would be.
I wish you luck.
