Hi Everyone Can anyone give me some info on the driving course at mountain transport Inatitute in castlegar BC? It seems excellent but I would like to hear from students,ex students or drivers who know the school and also know carriers who hire their graduates. I am trying to get in as a student. Thank you all for your help.

abacusblack;
I drive through that area regularily. Their trucks seem to have good supervision and have little trouble with the hills there.
Can't say for sure if I have met any of their students nor can I direct you to any carriers that have hired their students.
You might also check out Red Deer College. They are now offering a 34 week training program, and I can direct you to one or more companies that hire graduates from that school.
Another to check out would be LakeLand College in Vermillion, Alberta. My employer hires students from that school, and participates in their extended training program.
PM me for more information if you wish.
Pat
