First, many thanks to Rachelle, Trucker Tom and all the rest of you who have posted to this site. The information available has been and will continue to be a great help to any and all who are considering a careeer in the trucking industry.
4 of us passed our D.M.V. tests on Thurs. the 19th recieved our class A-cdl's and graduated from our school. Unfortunatly 3 did not pass, mostly due to absences from school and missing out on training time.
I recieved a job offer from Gordon Trucking Co. after applying with them and report to their terminal in Turlock Ca. on the 24th of this month for 3 days of orenitation and then assignment with a driver trainer for 4 weeks of training OTR.
After training I will be assigned to their N.C.A. fleet. Driving Nevada, Calif. and Arizona. This works out great as I have family in Reno and close friends who are moving to the Phoenix area of Arizona.
Good luck to all and stay safe.
al1460.

Good luck, al1460!
GTI is my first pick of companies to drive for, if I decide to go over the road. I would be based at the Pacific, WA facility.
Be safe...

Congrats on passing your exams!! Now you are ready to learn. I was in AZ. several times during my stint with Werner. It's a nice area of the country. Don't get down there anymore because I drive midwest for a small company now. Enjoy your new career!

I am glad to see you in the trucking business. We need Smart, thoughtful people on the road. Enjoy your training and remember it doesn't last forever and you'll only have to do it once.
One day you may be a has-been like me and become an instructor, at a huge pay reduction, but you will be home every night.
(why does that seem less and less important as the bills keep stacking up?)
I may be joining you out there one day, I keep my OTR stuff ready to go.
