I went to the Sage school in Denver, CO. All of the students passed the state CDL test. I do agree with you that 1 on 1 driving isn't the same as 2 (we had 3) students practicing on the range with ONE instructor. And during 8 hours of my road time I had an instructor who was fired the last Friday before I took my test. He wasn't teaching us the same was as the other instructors and got fired as a result. Then, I had to pregnant dog to the school to get the hours that the instructor shorted me when he shut us down early because he wanted to go home..."Hey, it is getting too dark to practice, so back your truck up to the fence and stop for the day". I demanded that they schedule me for those 2 hours so I could practice backing - they did, reluctantly... So the secretary who schedules the range booked my hour at 5:30am. Well, it didn't even start to get light until 6:30am and another student was scheduled to use that truck at 7:00am. I pregnant doged again and finally got the time scheduled during daylight. Wouldn't have gotten it if I hadn't complained, though. I did interview all the schools in the area, though and I still think Sage is the best one here. Buyer beware, however, ask all the questions and check all their answers. 1 on 1 instruction is NOT 1 teacher and 3 students backing around on a dirt lot.

For some reason I can't see the original post. But it sounds like the 1-to-1 private teaching that Sage advertises is NOT what they deliver? I was considering the Sage school in Courdelane, (I can never remember how to spell that!) Idaho. The rep seemed very friendly and knowledgeable, having been an OTR driver himself. But I'm not going to make the move if they don't have the one on one that they advertise. P.S. How about posting some comments in the school database here? I went to the Sage school in Denver, CO.
