I just finished Schneider's school in Green Bay, WI. I can't complain too much. I didn't know how to drive a stick (much less a truck) when I went and now I can make the truck go (at least on a basic level).
My biggest pet peeve was how much time I spent waiting around for my road instructor. I usually sat 45 mins to an hour of our half day each day while he shot the breeze with other instructors or went to talk to the boss. The last day in the classroom was the same way, only worse. Lots of hurry up and wait time (10-15 minute break every hour and we weren't that busy the 40-50 minutes each hour we were "working".
The other issue was my instructor had his own methods for turns and his ownshift points. Everything was ducky until I went to the next stage of training and they wanted to know why I was shifting at odd RPMs and setting up for turns the way I did (Schneider has a very specific way they want you to do things). No serious damage done, I was pretty rattled at first but only had to stay a day extra to get back on track.

Shooting the breeze? I call that wasting the schools payroll.
I don't understand why all these schools try to create clone drivers. I teach the same to all my students, but many times I have to come from a different direction on many of them
I hope it works out for you.
