"Central Refrig is the former thingy Simon and I think they are still based out of Salt Lake City, UT...?"
Yes thay are, They seem to have done pretty well by our past students. Our local Centrail recruiter seems to be honest about the down side, and all companies have those. Some worse than Central Ref.
Lisa Motor Lines here in Fort Worth (part of FFE in Dallas) is another that seems to be willing to work with folks that may get passed over by others. Second chances are hard to come by these days. But Lisa may not be the first choice of others.
We just had a student that proudly announced to a company recruiter that he had been diagnosed as Bi-Polar and was taking medication for it.....I don't think he is bi-polar, he is a smart @ss though and has been spoiled by his parents all his life. Now he can't get hired. He neglected to tell our recruiter this in the beginning.
Who's fault is it now that he can't get hired? He blames us.

I am just out of school too. I has to place 6 apps. for jobs with the school I went too. They had lots of companies there that will hire you right out of school. A few of them are: Swift Coastal Transport ( a Comcar Company) this company has quite a few division. Weiner Mcleroy US Exspress TMC Rhoel I have found that you need to get some experience before you'll get too many offers at least 3 to 6 months. So just jump in somewhere and tough it out. Good Luck!!!

"So just jump in somewhere and tough it out."
It's not so bad, I know I'm going to sound like some old man saying: "when I was a kid I had to walk 20 miles a day to school naked, uphill both ways....in the snow!"
At least you have AC! When I started, we would all stand in reverence when we saw a truck with AC going down the road in summertime. We were awestruck!
I can say this to all the newbies, you have WAY more laws to condend with today, you nearly have to be a lawyer to drive a truck today. We got away with murder 20-30 years ago. You could hand a Kansas state trooper a messed up log book and he would just hand it back, never really knowing what he was supposed to be looking for!
Get a year in and see what is out there, you may wind up staying where you are. There are alot of liars in the recruiting business, at least you will know what you are getting where you have been. I have gotten to the point where I dispise recruiters kinda like spammers.

I lived through crappy working conditions for a lot of years so I can hang through just about anything for 12 months. I still made my choice very carefully.
